Highway Patrol investigating serious crash in Ross Co.



The Highway Patrol is investigating a single vehicle crash that occurred on Frankfort Clarksburg Pike, south of State Route 138, in Deerfield Township Thursday evening.

At around 5:36 p.m., a 2019 Hyundai Kona, driven by Terrence Hicks,

A car was traveling southwest on Frankfort Clarksburg Pike, when the vehicle crossed over the center line and drove off the left side of the roadway. The vehicle then struck a utility pole, drove into a creek, and came to rest when it struck an embankment. Deerfield Township Fire and EMS responded to the scene and the driver was transported to the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe before he was transported to Grant Medical Center in Columbus with serious injuries.

Deerfield Township Fire Department assisted on scene. The crash remains under investigation.
