PIKE COUNTY, Ohio — A Pike County firefighter seriously injured in a crash in his firetruck last month went home Wednesday.
Ralph Law—the driver of the apparatus—lost control of the rig last month, and the vehicle drove off the side of the road, overturning. He was airlifted to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Law, 63, returned home on Wednesday after weeks in the ICU. He was given an escort home by police officers, motorcycles, and fire engines.
Although Law was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash, he still was seriously injured, troopers said.
