COLUMBUS, Ohio — Governor Mike DeWine announced the start of four grant programs that are aimed at helping small to medium-sized businesses. The goal of the programs is to assist businesses that had suffered during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the Governor, “These new grant programs will help industries that experienced losses over the last year because of the pandemic.” The governor continued by saying that, “Ohio’s economy is moving forward, and with new grant programs like the ones we are announcing today, we are optimistic that our economy will only continue to grow stronger.”

State officials say the programs will provide grant funding to businesses that opened in 2020. These businesses include food and beverage establishments, entertainment venues, and lodging venues.

All four programs will be administered by the Ohio Development Services Agency. The program’s rules, and guidelines, are now available at BusinessHelp.Ohio.Gov.

The application period will begin Tuesday, June 29.

Director of Development Services, Lydia Mihalik said, “The investments we make through these programs will ensure the survival and stability of our businesses. Our small business owners and entrepreneurs are the heart of our economy, and we’re optimistic about the future.
