FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Ohio — Three employees of the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office are off the job today after an internal investigation revealed that they initiated a fight club within the county jail.
According to reports, Deputy Shawn Pettit, Correction Officers Landon Talbott, and Kyle Archibald had three inmates within the jail engage in wrestling matches for their entertainment.
The reported incidents occurred in June of this year.
C.O. Landon Talbott, authorities say was fired, and Deputy Pettit and C.O. Kyle Archibald resigned.
No charges have been filed in the case, but the incident remains under investigation.
