ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — On Thursday evening, shortly after 9 p.m., rescue crews were dispatched to the scene of a single-vehicle crash near the intersection of Route 50 and Upper Twin Road in Ross County. The vehicle had crashed into a tree and the driver, who dispatchers said was bleeding, fled the scene on foot.
The Ohio Highway Patrol also responded to the incident and is currently searching for the injured driver. The name of the individual involved has not been released.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation and authorities are working to gather more information. The Ohio Highway Patrol has the driver’s name and address. The vehicle, authorities say, has been towed from the scene.
