ATHENS COUNTY, Ohio — Two people are in custody following a drug raid in Athens County.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, agents and detectives with the Southeast Major Crimes Drug Task Force executed the raid at a residence in the 11000 block of Rainbow Lake Road. In a press statement provided to the Guardian, Sheriff Rodney Smith said nearly ¾ pound of crystal meth, ½ pound of cocaine, ¼ pound of magic mushrooms, and over $9,000 in cash were seized.
Arrested were 53-year-old James Michael Creamer, and 58-year-old Sandra Petrey. Both were charged with possession of drugs and drug trafficking.
Officials say that further charges could be forthcoming in the case. Both suspects remain in custody at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.
