ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A sergeant with the Ross County Sheriff’s Office nabbed two suspects in a stolen truck, while a third remains on the lamb.
It happened at around 9:30 a.m. along route 772 near Liberty Hill Road on Wednesday. That’s where a deputy passed a pickup reported stolen from Pike County.
When the deputy turned around, the truck made a turn on Liberty Hill Road and pulled into a driveway. A passenger immediately got out and ran, while the driver and a second passenger were held at gunpoint.
Backup soon arrived from deputies and the probation department, who were able to respond to the location to assist the deputy.
Both men were taken into custody while a brief search of the area wielded no results of the fleeing suspect. Known to law enforcement, a warrant has been put out for their arrest.
The driver and passenger were taken to jail.
