COLUMBUS, Ohio — In a recent announcement on Saturday, the USDA disclosed that Tyson Foods is recalling packages of its popular “Fun Nuggets” line of chicken nuggets after reports of contamination with metal pieces surfaced. The recall comes in response to customer complaints and one reported minor oral injury linked to the consumption of the affected product.
The impacted batches, manufactured on Sept. 5, bear the establishment label P-7211. Approximately 16,500 packages of “Fun Nuggets” were distributed to various states, including Alabama, California, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
The USDA has pledged to publish a comprehensive list of stores that received the contaminated chicken on its recall website.

The recall notice specifies that a total of 29,819 pounds of the kid-friendly chicken, marked with a use-by date of Sept. 4, 2024, are affected. Consumers are advised to check for the following lot codes on their packages:
