CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A lover’s quarrel in Chillicothe unfolded early Tuesday morning, resulting in three people shot.
It happened in an alley off Water Street at Hirn Street shortly after midnight.
Two vehicles came nose-to-nose between two houses in the alley, and that’s when a fight ensued.
At least three people were shot, including a man and a woman; they were both rushed to the hospital with one in life-threatening condition. Preliminary results show a third man, who was involved in the fight shot himself in the alley and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to officials.
Neighbors reported hearing multiple gunshots and then, dialed 9-1-1.
Chillicothe Police called for multiple ambulances and for backup from the Ross County Sheriff’s Office and the Highway Patrol.
Officials said the shooting stemmed from a relationship dispute.
The names of those involved were not immediately released.
