CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Officers responded to a report of attempted break-in at Jack’s Tire Shop on South Paint Street, on Thursday.
According to store manager, sometime overnight between February 14th and 15th, individuals tried to gain entry into two garages at the back of the property.
Officers observed damage to both garage doors. On the north garage, the handle was bent upwards, indicating an attempt to force it open. The second garage had wooden window coverings ripped off, creating a large enough opening for someone to crawl through. Fortunately, no entry was gained, and no one was found inside the garages at the time of the response.
Due to the lack of video surveillance in the rear of the building, the investigation is ongoing.
