CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A man was cited for public indecency after reportedly defecating and wiping himself in the parking lot of St. Peter’s Church, according to local authorities.
The incident occurred on Wednesday morning when a caller reported seeing a white male with gray hair, wearing a blue polo shirt and shorts, hunched over in the church parking lot with his pants down. The caller stated she could clearly see the man’s genitals as he wiped himself, appearing to have just finished defecating. She shouted at the man, who then pulled up his shorts and walked away. The caller later provided a written statement to the police.
While en route to the scene, officers observed a man matching the description, identified as Keith Snyder, walking quickly away from the area. Snyder denied committing the act and continued walking. Upon arrival at the church, officers found a pile of fresh human feces in the rear parking lot, partially on a parking block and partially on the asphalt. A photograph of the scene was taken as evidence.
Snyder was issued a summons for public indecency, which he refused to sign. He was released and informed of his court date, set for July 22, 2024, at 9 a.m.
