WAVERLY, Ohio — This evening, law enforcement officials confirmed that one person has been shot in Pike County. Information remains limited, but here’s what we know so far.
At approximately 9 PM, a male subject arrived at Adena Pike Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his leg. According to the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, the man and a female companion became involved in an altercation with hospital staff before leaving the scene in a Dodge Charger.
Shortly after, the pair arrived at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, where deputies from the Ross County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the emergency department. An on-call detective has also been requested to assist with the investigation.
