CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A Washington Court House man was involved in a two-vehicle crash on US-35 near milepost 17 in Union Township, Ross County, on Monday, at about 5:29 p.m., according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Gabriel Bolander, 21, Washington Court House, was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro southeast on US-35 when he veered off the left side of the road, crossed the median, and collided with a 2023 Kenworth T680 semi driven by Husandeep Chahal, 24, of Surrey, British Columbia, in the westbound lanes.

Bolander was taken by Union Township EMS to Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe with minor injuries. Chahal and his passenger, Nirmal Singh, 54, of Surrey, British Columbia, were unharmed.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol, assisted by Union Township Fire and EMS, Veteran Affairs Fire and EMS, the Ohio Department of Transportation, and the Ross County Emergency Management Agency, investigated the scene. The westbound lanes of US-35 were closed for approximately 2.5 hours.
