CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Ross County Board of Commissioners will hold its regular meeting Monday morning with an agenda that includes a visit from Sheriff Lavender, a bridge contract signing, and an afternoon economic development work session.

The meeting convenes at 9 a.m. at the courthouse on North Paint Street. Commissioners will begin with the signing of a contract with Charlie Ortman for the West Junction Bridge project, followed by a staff meeting.

At 10 a.m., Sheriff Lavender is scheduled to appear before the board for a discussion with commissioners and the county administrator. Details of the agenda item were not specified.

At 10:30 a.m., the board will issue an Older Americans Month proclamation, recognizing May as a time to honor the contributions of older adults in the community.

At 10:45 a.m., Eric Braunlin and Allie Redman will present on behalf of CORSA Membership Services. CORSA is the County Risk Sharing Authority, which provides insurance and risk management services to Ohio counties and local governments.

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the board will hold its Pineapple Awards ceremony, which recognizes county employees for outstanding service.

At 1 p.m., commissioners will convene an Economic Development Work Session.
