PIKE COUNTY, Ohio — Authorities in Ohio are searching for Alisha Painter, also known as Alisha Young, who went missing on February 25, 2023. The search has been ongoing since February 27, when the Piketon Police Department received a call about an abandoned Gold 2005 Nissan Altima with an Oklahoma license plate parked at the Sunoco Gas Station in Piketon.

Surveillance footage, police say, shows the vehicle pulling into the Sunoco parking lot at 1:47 a.m. on February 25, with a female matching Painter’s description exiting the vehicle at around 4:30 a.m. and walking out of view in a South/Southeast direction. The female was seen wearing a white jacket and white pants.

Investigators have been gathering information about the contents of the vehicle, which contained a purse, cash, wigs, and a Straight-Talk cell phone box without the phone. No identification was found. Authorities, according to the Prosecutor’s Office, are working with Straight-Talk to track the phone’s location and gather subscriber information.
Painter is a 41-year-old female, 5’5 with Blond Hair and Brown Eyes. Officials say she suffers from dissociative identity disorder (DID). A white jacket belonging to Painter was found in the woods during a search conducted by the Christian Aid Ministries Search and Rescue Group. The jacket matches the one she was wearing in the surveillance footage.

Prior to her disappearance, Painter posted a nearly 30-minute long video of a Tarot Card reading. According to her bio, Painter is listed as the owner and founder of Alisha’s Guided Messages in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she makes the claims of being a psychic medium.
The search efforts have intensified, with surveillance cameras at area businesses, the Ohio Department of Transportation, and trail cameras being checked for any information. Authorities are asking anyone with trail cameras set up in the woods near the Pike County Fairgrounds, Pike Co CTC, Shyville Road, American Blvd., Big Beaver Creek Rd, Big Beaver Creek Golf Course, and Big Beaver Creek to come forward so that they may examine the footage. They are also asking anyone in the aforementioned areas to check their Ring/Surveillance cameras from February 25th, 2023, to the present day to see if Painter can be seen.

The Pike County Prosecutor’s Office, Piketon Police Department, Pike County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio BCI, the Southern Ohio Major Crimes Task Force, and the Piketon Seal TWP Fire Department are all involved in the joint investigation. The authorities are urging anyone with information to contact them immediately.
