ATHENS COUNTY, Ohio — The Nelsonville Water Department will be interrupting water service to the Village of Buchtel this Friday, February 16th, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This four-hour outage is necessary to connect the new water main at 12th Street and transition the Nelsonville/York School Complex to the new system.
Following the restoration of service, a boil order will be in effect for the entire Village of Buchtel until 7:00 AM on Monday, February 19th. During this time, all residents are advised to boil their cooking and drinking water for three minutes before consumption.
