According to witnesses at the scene, the incident occurred after a man canoeing on the creek overturned and did not resurface. Witnesses indicated that the individual appeared to be “intoxicated” at the time of the flip.
In response to the emergency, search and rescue teams from Ross and Pickaway counties were dispatched to the area to assist in the search efforts.
After a brief search, the missing man was located safely. He was subsequently cleared medically, and no further details regarding his condition were provided.
