BEAVER, Ohio — A high-speed pursuit involving multiple law enforcement agencies ended late Saturday night with the arrest of two suspects in Pike County, Ohio, authorities said.

The chase began around 10 p.m. on Saturday, in the city of Jackson, where Jackson Police Department officers pursued a vehicle linked to a theft. The suspects, identified as driver Troy Fleckinger, 56, of Waverly, Ohio, and passenger Mike Osborne, 47, also of Waverly, led officers onto U.S. Route 32, crossing into Pike County. The Ohio State Highway Patrol joined the effort as the pursuit continued.

Pike County Deputy Gullett, who had just completed a traffic stop in Beaver, responded to assist. The chase veered off U.S. 32 onto Coal Dock Road before concluding at Bobst Towing Yard in Beaver. Following a brief foot chase, both suspects were apprehended and taken into custody.

Police said the pursuit stemmed from a theft reported in Jackson. A subsequent search of the suspects’ vehicle uncovered stolen merchandise from the Jackson Walmart, according to authorities.

Fleckinger faces charges of theft, obstructing official business, and felony fleeing and eluding. He is currently being held in Jackson County. Osborne was later released, with no additional details provided about his status.

No injuries or property damage were reported during the incident, which involved coordination between the Jackson Police Department, Ohio State Highway Patrol, and Pike County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation remains ongoing.
