CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Law enforcement in Ross County is searching a wooded area near the 6000 block of Walnut Creek Road for a man who fled after making threats of self-harm, authorities said.
The Ross County Sheriff’s Office is leading the search and has requested assistance from the Ohio Highway Patrol, including a helicopter to help locate the individual.

- 9:28 AM — Deputies are awaiting an OSP helicopter for an aerial sweep. According to scanner traffic, the Ross County Sheriff’s Office will end the ground search if the individual is not located from the air.
- 9:30 AM – EMS cleared the scene. The Sheriff’s Office still has the scene.
