Chillicothe, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred on State Route 41 near milepost 0 in Paxton Township, Ross County, at approximately 3:11 p.m. on Sunday.
A 2002 Chevrolet S-10, driven by Omer Abner, 72, of Hillsboro, veered left of center while traveling southeast on State Route 41, colliding with a 2018 Ford F-150 driven by Candace Ramey, 23, of Peebles.
Abner was airlifted by MedFlight to Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center with serious injuries. Ramey reported minor injuries and was not transported. A passenger in Ramey’s vehicle, Kenneth Blair, 26, of Piketon, was taken to Highland District Hospital by Paxton/Bainbridge EMS and will be transferred to Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center for serious injuries. A juvenile passenger in Ramey’s vehicle was uninjured, according to Ramey.
The investigation is ongoing.
